Feeding Golden-winged Warbler-May 8, 2012 |
Patience is the name of the game when photographing birds. Today, I followed this Golden-winged Warbler and what you see is typically what you get. My camera is not fancy (Panasonic Lumix-24X optical). I use it primarily for documentation and video. It has too many bells and whistles and is tough to focus when foliage is dense.
The action today was in the east side of "The Woods of Bobolink Meadow" It is near the tennis courts and the harbor. This area is being denuded to plant native vegetation. Most of the warblers were feeding in the area that has not been worked on yet. This area last year produced Connecticut Warblers for at least 4 days. It will be interesting to see how the clearing operation affects the area.
