Today I had an opportunity to go birding with Kathleen Taylor, the bird monitor for Burnham Prairie Natural Area just off of 47th and Lake Shore Drive. Several species were observed with some obvious breeding birds. The highlight was a singing Carolina Wren and a nice close Indigo Bunting.
I might have to change the Wooded Island/Jackson Park Blog to "Things With Wings" That is the title I used for a class I taught at College of DuPage back in 1985. Pictured today are some of the other critters with wings.
