An Aside Today-Birding Burnham Prairie-47th and Lake Shore Drive

Today I had an opportunity to go birding with Kathleen Taylor, the bird monitor for Burnham Prairie Natural Area just off of 47th and Lake Shore Drive. Several species were observed with some obvious breeding birds. The highlight was a singing Carolina Wren and a nice close Indigo Bunting.

A sad day for me. I lost a birding friend yesterday. So today is dedicated to a great birder from California. Thanks to friends I watched birds, listened to distant voices and had memories.
