Saturday May 24, 2014-A Pleasant Birding Day At Wooded Island

I only went birding for a short period on Saturday, so few photo's. A nice group of birders was out. The highlight without a photo is a singing Connecticut Warbler. Unfortunately when I tried to do an audio, a helicopter flew by. Here is a youtube of a Kingbird. http://youtu.be/xYeaixtp1SA

An Interesting Week of Birding-Cold Wet Weather-May 16, 2014

Although the wind was not conducive to migration, there were some nice birding days this week. I also had a chance to visit the Indiana Dunes State Park Hawkwatch. Very few hawks but 102 species of birds passing through. The photo's today represent Illinois count day (Saturday May 10), Indiana Dunes  and a few days this week. This morning almost 1,000 Cormorants flew past our window. See the youtube at: http://youtu.be/yJ6nKAUOPhY
