Park District Will Not Disturb Anymore Trees At the Entrance to Wooded Island

A note from Barbara Wood-Deputy Director of Natural Resources indicated that "All of the necessary tree removals have been completed." This is encouraging and now we need to protect herbaceous, shrub and intermediate layers at the entrance habitat between Darrow Bridge and Wooded Island.

Here are a few miscellaneous shots taken during the last week of May.

Indigo Bunting

Crow on the Darrow Bridge

Bee on a Rose

Toad in the Japanese Garden

  1. I heard the frog croak last Wednesday, as the birders were leaving the Japanese Garden. Guardian of the spirits that reside within the Garden.
